What the report contains

A Commercial Intelligence Report is a structured read of your client’s competitive field.

It sets out who the client’s direct competitors are and where they overlap, in market, in brand, in positioning. It records the claims and the language those competitors use, and notes where the claims are not supported. It identifies how the client can separate from them, and the markets left untapped. Where pricing is public, we include it.

Your fee earners take that to the client. It is analysis the client has almost certainly never run on its own market, and would find hard to run, because a firm is too close to itself to see how it reads from outside. It is also analysis virtually no other firm is offering.

How it works

The report goes out under your firm’s name and cover. Your client never sees us. Research firms in this field sell their own name; we sell yours.

Results are quicker than a bespoke study, because the underlying research already exists and we are not fielding it from scratch for each instruction.

The fee is fixed at £3,990.

Where the analysis comes from

A database of 9,680 firms across Europe and more than 6,000 in the United States.

That is the difference between a benchmarked read of a market and a look at the three competitors a client can already name. The reports are put together and checked by people with subject expertise in the relevant field.

What you receive

Not just the document.

A report a client did not ask for is easy to mishandle. So we do not only send the findings. We set out how to present them: the order to take them in, what to lead with, and how to put the conclusion to the client as the firm’s own reading of their market rather than a bought-in file. The findings are the evidence. How they are presented decides whether the client acts on them, and whether you instruct us again.

We work with no more than five of each at any one time. That keeps the analysis you resell genuinely yours, and lets you charge for access your competitors can’t get.
